Do you support ';change'; even if it means more gov't control and more power to politicians and lawmakers in DC

No. I support Ron Paul's kind of change.

I don't support ';change';, I support ';progress';. And progress has nothing to do with velocity and everything to do with direction. Currently all of the ';change'; we're hearing about is in the wrong direction, namely more and more government in our lives. That isn't progress. So I don't support it.

Edit-

I just realized that technically a velocity is a vector, and has both magnitude and direction. So I should have said that progress has nothing to do with SPEED (a scalar quantity).
Nah, we already had enough government control forced down our throats by the right-wing authoritarians in the White House and the Executive branch with the cooperation of a rubber stamp Congress for most of Bush's time in office. So when Obama becomes President the change will be in the opposite direction toward the restoration of the rights and freedoms of all Americans.
More government control will happen no matter who you vote for. Its just what type you have to choose between. Republicans do not want to control business because it makes the rich get richer, including themselves. However, they do feel the need to put survelance everywhere and tap our phones. If thats not government control then I dont know what is. You republicans say that everything that is not beneficial to you is ';socialist'; or just the democrats wanting to control everything. The fact is the democrats want to stop the corperations from taking over this country as they already have. If thats control then yes as a matter of fact I do want control. Im sorry if you cant read my e-mails to make sure Im not a terrorist or buy yourself 3 planes instead of just 2. Stop telling people that everything you dont agree with is wrong.
isn't that the exact same kind of ';change'; that delusional Bush supporters approved of back in 2000...more gov't control and more power to politicians and lawmakers in DC (Patriot Act, Homeland Insecurity)???? no, as opposed to big gov't conturds, the kind of change we look for is LESS gov't control over our personal lives and more power to the citizenry...therefore, I'm happily casting my vote for Obama.
Buzzwords like ';government control'; mask the question of whether the approaches being suggested would actually work well or not. I support whatever kind of change is going to allow everyone who needs it to afford lifesaving medical care and stop the decline of the middle class.
Nice try Ditto head.....so any other Right Wing BS you'd like to repeat? Obama doesn't want more government control, but can you come up with a better solution to health care? Didn't think so. The only way it will get better is to remove profit from it.....how do you do that, make it backed by tax money not greedy corporate Insurance companies and ambluance chaser lawyers. Man you McCain folks are just jealous.
Actually, I support the system of checks and balances, and I don't believe the president should have absolute unquestioned power to imprison Americans without charges or to spy on them without probable cause.

This is why I vote Democratic.
I support more personal freedom and personal responsibility and less government interference.

That would require rolling back the excesses of the federal government that have occurred over the past 100 years. It needs to be put back within its constitutional limits.
This is what cracks me up concerning McCain supporters. Why do you think he wouldn't create a larger government? If you don't know the answer, google League of Democracies. Then let me know if there is any candidate that doesn't want to have more control over you.
No. We need smaller government. The only change I support is undoing the damage that Bush and Clinton have done to our Republic. Restore the Constitution at all costs. If they can't do that, they are guilty of treason and all that entails.
Change could mean either better or worse . Nothing should ever be changed , just for the sake of change . It should be changed only for the sake of improvement . Change from bad to worse , is change , but who wants it ?
Did you fail to notice that you are more controlled now than ever by the Government? That was done under the Republicans watchful eye. You have less privacy and more politcal red tape than at any time in history.
I don't support or not support change until I've been given the specifics needed for me to make that choice. The specific example you've given I would not support.
That's a big negatory, good buddy. I don't know what kind of change Obamanation wants us to accept, but I don't trust anyone who won't come out and say what they mean.
If it means a better way of life than what we have now, then who cares how big the government is. Jeez, there are more things to worry about.
I get what you're saying, but that is not the change Obama is advocating.

Nice try to paint it that way, however.
I like it when nameless faceless bureaucrats control my life. Then I don't have to make any decisions.
Have you been to the DMV? Can you imagine health care or other free enterprise systems turned over to government control?
Depends... some areas of society need more control, while others need less.
Absolutely not.

Keep America in your prayers, It will get better. God bless.

McCain 08!!!!
Obama will not change one damn thing. watch and see....but he won't get elected.
that is called bad change. strangely, many do support it.
Do they not already have their arm deep enough in your a$$ yet?
Not me. No thanks.
Hell no!
No way! we need less gvt!
